Now that's smart!

Mrs. LoGiudice’s class uses teamwork and manipulatives to grasp the concept of fractions.

The boy basketball team had an impressive season under the direction of Coach Morris.

The girls had a tremendous season too!  They will continue in the City Wide basketball tournament next week-end.  Congrats on a victory over Sewell-Anderson to the girls and Coach Allen.

Box Top Super Bowl Contest

The first grade won the Box Top Super Bowl contest.  They collected the most box tops for the school.  The prize was a pizza party. Every class was a winner and received some recess equipment.  Victory for all.  Congratulations!

Emperor Penguin

The first grade is learning about Emperor Penguins.  After reading and researching on the Smart board, they acted out how Emperor Penguins carry their precious eggs.  Our youngsters found out that the penguins make it look easy.  Answer: Emperors don't build nests: they carry their eggs balanced on their feet, under their belly.

Book Fair

Our recent book fair was a huge success.  Thank you to all the parents who helped make it possible.  It is a great fundraiser that will keep our library filled with current literature.
