October 8 Walk to School Day !

Nature's Classroom 2014

Despite the lack of sunshine,  the students are having lots of fun!  The field groups and classes are so exciting that the kids are totally engaged.  Today some did dissections, others built bridges while others went on nature hikes.  Lots of choices.  The kids told me I should have come on Monday because they had Boston cream pie!  I must agree, the food is quite delicious .   Here are a few pictures from today .

Animal Planet's Dave Salimoni

Congratulations to Mrs. Whalen’s 3^rd Grade Class for winning the Siemens We Can Change the World Challenge.  The Siemens We Can Change the World Challenge at the elementary school level is designed to help students work together to solve an environmental problem in their classroom or school community. As 1^st place national winners we all got to enjoy a presentation from Dave Salimoni from Animal Planet.  The winning proposal is built around the stopping citizens from dumping lawn clippings into the beautiful Lynn Woods.
